I started tweeting with the Farrakhan Twitter Army around late spring, early summer of 2013 after hearing the Minister shout it out multiple times during The Time and What Must be Done lecture series. I was compelled to make a Twitter account to help spread the message. I felt like his words were a command to us youth.

Having to tweet the Minister’s words made me listen closely to what he was saying, and the FTA has played a pivotal part in my spiritual journey. I wrote my first FCN article late June 2013, and I feel like the FTA played a direct role in me being able to write something intelligent and worthy of publishing in an international newspaper. Before then, I had only written fiction. In other words, I can trace my origin in journalism to the Farrakhan Twitter Army.

Not only that, but I’ve made relationships that have since been strengthened over the years. after hearing the Minister shout it out multiple times during The Time and What Must be Done lecture series. I was compelled to make a Twitter account to help spread the message. I felt like Several of my close friends are in the FTA: Sis. Nzinga, Sis. Qiyaamah, Sis. Khadijah, Sis. Sabbath.

I’ve met people that have truly served as mentors, Sis. Ebony being one.

And then of course Brother Jesse. Thank you for serving as the General of the FTA. If it were not for you taking the Minister’s words and running with it, I probably wouldn’t be where I am now in my spiritual journey. You have done so much to advance the cause of truth, and you have truly inspired the youth of the Nation. You gave us a home. I found my spiritual home in the Farrakhan Twitter Army.
